Neurons Website Development

ISSUE

20Twenty Productions, a Community Interest Company, received funding for the development of a creative platform to support young people initially in East Cambridgeshire and Fenland.

The initial website for Neurons was built within a membership platform and the team wanted to redevelop the website on a platform that was more user friendly, easier to update and one that would work with a membership and email plugin.

APPROACH

From the output of the Discovery Day we were able to make some initial recommendations for a site including wire frames to illustrate the user journeys and recommendations for search options. We recommended the use of Memberpress to manage the membership and payment which has allowed them flexibility to offer access to individual activities as well as full membership.

The automation in both Mailchimp and Memberpress has allowed for a considerable amount of the email marketing, welcome and membership reminders to be taken care of behind the scenes allowing the team to focus on the creation of the activities.

OUTCOME

Neurons had a website built that allowed them complete control without the need to pay expensive developers or invest in their own time to find out solutions to issues on their previous website.

“Our existing membership platform website has got us so far but we realised that if we wanted to move the organisation forward we would need to invest in a new site that we could update and adapt easily. Natalie, Mark and Chris worked with us for a number of months taking the time to really understand our ethos and objectives. It transformed our image and has allowed us to promote Neurons to a wider audience for members and also extra funding.”
